In the late Meiji era, the 12th generation of our family who were engaged in the liquor business focused on the preservation properties of sake lees produced in the process of sake brewing, and created the “Ariakezuke” through a process of trial and error. In recent years, “YUZUSCO” a new spicy seasoning was created through an encounter with yuzu from Miyazaki, Kyushu. As such, we will continue to provide with a lot of “deliciousness” through the innovation created by the traditional tastes passed down through generations and an encounter of new ingredients.

Yuzu kosho (spicy yuzu paste), a specialty of Kyushu, is blended with carefully selected vinegar to make it more suitable for a wide range of dishes, and made it into a liquid form for convenience. It is an all-purpose spice seasoning that goes well with a wide range of cuisines such as Japanese, Western and Chinese.

It is a seaweed tsukudani (preserved food boiled down in soy sauce) using only the 1st and 2nd picked Nori (seaweed) from the Ariake Sea, blended with the raw ingredients of YUZUSCO, yuzu kosho and vinegar, in an exquisite proportion in order not to spoil the flavor of the seaweed. The faint scent of yuzu and the smell of ocean, with its tangy and spicy aftertaste, makes it a perfect match for rice and many other dishes. It comes in an easy-to-use tube.
